OpenStudy (anonymous):

if a current is passed through an unstretched spring then will it compess or expand

OpenStudy (stamp):

than the flux capacitor overloads and the spaceships internal gravity explodes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think passing current through a spring will produce some induced current inside the spring and it will act like an inductor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cause opposes the effect producing it.

OpenStudy (anoop27):

If current is passed through unstreched spring, spring Contracts(due to force of attraction developing inside spring loops) and size of spring decreases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mr anoop can u explain it in more detail may be with the help of a diagram

OpenStudy (naveenbabbar):

anoop27 is right. If you look at the direction of current in two adjacent coils, you will find that they are in the same directions and hence they will attract each other. You can use the concept of force on a conductor when placed in an external magnetic field.
