Yalta Conference took place in 1943, where the Allies decided on their plans for winning the war. Specifically, they promised each other not to conclude separate peace treaties with the Axis. Potsdam Conference took place in 1945, where the Allies decided on dividing Europe into areas of influence. Specifically, whose troops are going to be where, and which countries should remain neutral.
