A bakery has several kinds of baked goods for sale. cookies 17 muffins 19 brownies 18 What is the probability that a randomly selected baked good will be a brownie?
\[number Of Brownies \over totalCakes\]
ratio of number of brownies to the total number of baked goods
I Still Dont Get It .. @hea
18/54 so 1/3
Thanks .
to find the probability you need to put the number of brownies which is 18 over the total amount of desserts which is 54. When simplified, the result gives you 1/3.
Alyssa made a fruit salad with 44 pieces of fruit. 18 of the pieces of fruit were pineapple slices. What is the probability that a randomly chosen piece of fruit will be a pineapple slice?

well just like the desserts, put amount which were pineapple slices which is 18 over the total amount of pieces in the fruit salad which was 44. When simplified, you should get 9/22
