I need to find the points of inflection and discuss the concavity of the graph of the function below. I am stuck is there anyone that can help me please? f(x)=2x^3-3x^2-12x+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f'(x)=6x^2-6x-12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f"(x)=12x-6 and when i solve for x when set equal to 0 I get x=1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I'm having trouble with coming up with my intervals

I thought that you used your values for x to make your intervals but since i don't have multiple values for x then can i just make up some and choose test values within those limits?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i'm going to watch it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, watch it and if still you have trouble with it i will help you. since i forgot some of the stuff in calculus thats why i refered this video to you.
