Most often the problem is with the mail program and the spam filter.  Openstudy.com and notifier@openstudy.com are often caught in the mail filter as spam.  After you check the junk/spam folders, you can try adding notifier@openstudy.com to your addressbook.  And try again. Or you can use facebook login.
