Please help! "Solve the equation sin(2t) + cost= ¼ on the interval [0, 2π]." I graphed y=sin(2t)+cost and then y=1/4, but they are coming out as straight lines. did I do something wrong?

OpenStudy (radar):

The y=1/4 would be a straight horizontal line. But I believe the sin/cos function would result in some curves.

OpenStudy (radar):

do they want the t in degrees or radians??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I knew the 1/4 should be, but I keep getting a straight line for the sin/cos.
