Some people take answers from yahoo/wiki and post them on OS, claiming it's there work without citing their sources. What do u guys think?

OpenStudy (zale101):

That's Plagiarism...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ i was actually going to post that this time!

OpenStudy (zale101):

I already did @KeganMoore. Anyways, i was helping someone and while i was typing a helpful user tried to help this someone by copying a text from yahoo answers. This person got the medal. I've seen this happening often around but it's not stopped. At least they need to site their sources. That's what citing is made for.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly. To bad people do not have respect for the original authors. People are starting to care less about the answers and more about the medals now. You will get a better reaction to your question if you post "MEDAL AND FAN" as the title

hartnn (hartnn):

If you see such a thing happening, report it with a reason. Action will be taken against them, because that is not allowed here.

OpenStudy (zale101):

You need to post question by writing "MEDAL AND FAN" as the title to grab peoples attention. Well most question i answer don't contain "MEDAL AND FAN" as the title. I look for questions that appear easy to me.

OpenStudy (zale101):

Thanks @Hartnn i will certainly do this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I look for anything right up my alley aka ANYTHING in history. But when i look around and see "MEDAL AND FAN" you see like 7 people working on the question, when the "first questions" get ignored.

OpenStudy (dean.shyy):

That would be known as plagiarism.
