How are the circulatory, muscular, and skeletal systems used in eating things? I don't know this one, but I have to include it in a list of systems used in eating.
I already have the digestive system, the integumentary system, the nervous system, and the endocrine system. Now I need skeletal, circulatory, and muscular.
the circulatory system is used to distribute the food the muscular and skeletal systems are used to chew the food
erm... could you be a tad bit more specific? :3
how specific do you need? put in one of the other explanations you have for an example.
Heh. I just looked back over mine. They aren't too specific either. But, what does the circulatory system accomplish by distributing food? And where does it distribute it to? :P
the circulatory system distributes the digested food to the cells. the digestive system doesn't actually change things all that much on the atomic scale, it just breaks things down into units small enough to transport and digest in the cells.
do you need more information on how the muscular and skeletal systems are involved in eating?
That'd help :P This is what I have so far: When eating dinner, not much work is involved. You just put the food on a fork/spoon/in your hand, put it in your mouth, chew, and swallow. However, there are more systems involved than you think. The digestive system is used to break down food. The endocrine system separates the waste from the food, which goes to the excretory system. The nervous system tells us to chew and swallow the food, and provides the senses so that we can smell and taste the food. The integumentary system processes the fact that the food is cold or hot.
the muscular system is used for chewing and for transporting the food from the mouth to the stomach. the skeletal system is used to support the muscular system and keep the internal organs from collapsing
