PLEASE HELP!!!!! in 2001, the federal hazradous waste sites in california was 2 less than twice the number of sites in washington. how many hazradous waste sites were there in washington if there were 20 sites in california??

2x-2 = 20 and then solve for x, or in this case, Washington. You could even replace the "x" with a "w" to help you remember the point: 2w-2 = 20 :)
