difference b/w R SQUARE AND ADJESTED R SQUARE

"Adjusted" isn't a quantifiable term in math, so you must be referring to a problem or a book that many of us haven't come across. Since there's only one way of squaring a number, then "adjusting" the square must mean to either modify a number before you square it, or modifying the product after you've squared it. Either way, I'd have to see the actual problem you're referring to to give you a more definitive answer.
