@Abarnett is they are asking for the relationship between them. But actually, the light-dependent reaction is the first stage where the plant actually uses the energy provided by the sun and stores it as NADH and ATP. In the light-independent reaction, the energy is used the stored energy to convert carbon dioxide and other organic molecules to glucose. One relationship is that they both use ATP. Also, I think they both occur in the stroma.
