When solving the system by substitution, what would you plug into the second equation for the letter y? 2x+y=6 2x+2y=8 y = 2 y = 6-2x x = 6 x = 2y+6

OpenStudy (nubeer):

re arrange your first equaation u have to make y isolate.. so subtract 2x on both sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 2

OpenStudy (nubeer):

ahh no.. how did u got that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im wrong:(

OpenStudy (nubeer):

OpenStudy (nubeer):

first you have to keep in mind that you have to make either x or y isolate ..
