The ages of the 44 U.S. presidents at their first inauguration (as of 2011) are: 57 57 49 52 50 42 54 55 64 61 61 64 56 47 51 51 56 46 57 54 50 46 55 56 60 61 54 57 68 48 54 55 55 62 52 47 58 51 65 49 54 51 43 69 a. Construct a frequency distribution with a first class of 42-47 b. Construct a histogram c. Construct a frequency polygon

and what are you wanting help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is part a) the following: If the first class is 42-47, then the remaining classes will be 6 years 48-53, 54-59, 60-65, 66-71

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to do the second and third part just a little help and I can probably get it and I thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so for a histogram, (1,2,3,4,5) goes along the y axis and along the x axis is the age of the presidents (42,43,44,45,46)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do I have to make a chart and put the ages of the presidents on it in order like I did on part a and thanks a bunch

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry other way around!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all okay and thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For a Histogram all data values (frequencys) are usually separate, although if you wish I think you can group them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all okay and you helped me a lot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats alright ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about part c is it done the same as part b or is it different

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it and thanks again
