can we simplify expression log 0.001

hartnn (hartnn):

@brianmargto Hi, \(\Huge \mathcal{\text{Welcome To OpenStudy}\ddot\smile} \) yes, we can simplify that. log means the base of logarithm is 10, did you know that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really, so I'm sorry the answer is what ?

hartnn (hartnn):

don't you want to find the answer on your own ? can you write 0.001 as the power of 10 ? 0.001 =10^(...what?...)

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

once you have found 0.001 as a power of ten , you'll need to use these log laws \[\boxed{n\log_b x=\log_bx^n}\]\[\boxed{\log_b b=1}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Much appreciated
