When you write the given number in scientific notation, what is the exponent in the power of 10? 5,780,000 = 5.78 x 10^?

thomaster (thomaster):

start from the right, and count every place you can put the point to the left untill you're at 5. so 0=1, 0=2, 0=3, 0=4, 8=5, 7=6, now you're at the point where the point is in the scientific notation. So the exponent is 6
