Understanding the concept of voltage drops

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

I need some tutoring, I guess you could say. I understand resistors cause volt drops. Does the battery always replenish the voltage of the circuit, that is, once the current travels from one end to another with resistances, does the battery bring the circuit back to its regular voltage? What are voltage dividers and how do they work?

yes, batteries doesn't that as long as it still have juices left

OpenStudy (anonymous):

voltage divider reduced the voltage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this will half voltage applied

OpenStudy (amtran_bus):

@modphysnoob , do you mean batters DO that? Thanks.

OpenStudy (carson889):

The voltage drop in a voltage divider will depend on the ratio of the resistance of the resistors, i thought

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
