Help me . i've tried to plot some data

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i got (take a look attachments!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I figure out what kind of distribution this is? is this normal gaussian ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@UnkleRhaukus

@Jemurray3

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

it looks a bit like a normal gaussian curve

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

what are your options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually, this should be a normal gaussian (based on my advanced physics lab guide) . i hope so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but.., i knew, a normal distribution has an infinite top and bottom tail, and is symmetrical. This distribution is not symmetrical.., so what kind of distriution this is ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one of my friend tells chi distribution..,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It looks like Poisson distribution for me. Also I don't speak whatever language that is but I assume it's counts in a radiation detector that's measuring the background, in which case that would be reasonable.
