Can I succeed in this course knowing only algebra?
I would not presume to say what you can do, but in general, given a person that lacks high school physics and calculus, that person is likely to find the course very difficult. Out of the two prerequisites, calculus is the more important in my mind. Without understanding what a derivative or an integral is would be a serious impediment to understanding the mathematics involved. With that said, there is a substantial curve in the physics material, and having to learn physics from scratch would be a monumental undertaking, IMHO.
I am a high school junior, currently enrolled in Algebra 2 and Physics. If you'd like, we could try going through this together. I'm not sure where you're at educationally, but from what I know about mechanics, you won't fail this course if you're not taking Calculus.
u don't need THAT much math sense
