Find the general solution (D-1)D(D+3)y=2t Where D=(d/dt) is the differential operator? NEED HELP Instructor only used 2x2 systems in class then puts this on assignment. I am lost

OpenStudy (phi):

this is the same as y''' + 2y'' -3y' = 2t you must find the solution to the homogenous equation y''' + 2y'' -3y' = 0 (of course, the characteristic equation is m(m-1)(m+3)=0 ) and add the particular solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just figured it out Final equ. =c1e^(-3t)+c2+c3e^t-((t^2)/3))-(4t)/9)
