Actually,it is said to be RADIOACTIVE WASTE... anyways radioactive waste means  are wastes that contain radioactive material.

nuclear waste means after use of uranium it cannot be used further for generating the energy though it emits radiation is small quantity that's why the nuclear plat people has to dump this one in such way that it should not affect the environment :) usually this is done by having piit on the earth and dump the materials :):
