One way to increase the rates of chemical reactions is by ____ the concentration of the reaction substances. A. increasing B. decreasing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is supposed to be B ... :/

thomaster (thomaster):

nooo increasing reactant concentration will allways increase the reaction rate. definitely A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but when u have less reactant it will increase the rate of reaction..

thomaster (thomaster):

@Ivanka123 that's not true. There are more ways to increase a reaction rate. -Increasing temperature (molecules move faster) -Increasing concentration of reactants (more collisions) -Adding a catalyst (speeding up the reaction) -Increasing surface area (grind something to powder) -Stirring (mixing the reactants)

oh that was lovely ..thank you :)
