Two sides of a triangle are 6 and 6. Which of the following could NOT be the measurement of the third side? 6 10 11 12

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

To find out if the side lengths could be a triangle, you have to make sure you can add two numbers and that has to be greater than the third number. For example. Lets try 6, 6, 6. 6+6 > 6 thats true therefore it is a triangle

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

lets try 6, 6, 10 6 + 6 > 10 6 + 10 > 6 both of those combinations are true so it is a triangle

OpenStudy (ryan123345):

lets try 6, 6, 12 now. 6 + 6 > 12 is NOT TRUE therefore it is not I triangle so your answer would be 6, 6,12

ok, thank you for your help!
