How do the skeletal muscle cells structures contribute to its function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember that skeletal muscles are formed by Actin and Myosin proteins that are arranged such that they form a tube called as a "sarcomere". This is able to expand and contract. Buch several such sarcomeres combine to form a single skeletal muscle fibe thread called as "myofibril" many such myofibrils combine to form a muscle fibre. When all the individual sarcomeres function in synchrony, the muscle is able to perform its function efficiently.
