If all the six-digit numbers formed by using the digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, without repetition, are listed from least to greatest, which number will be the 500th on the list?

OpenStudy (reemii):

it'll start with 123456. then 123465, .. If you fix 1 as digit on the left, and look at all 5! orders for the other digits, you'll have formed all numbers starting with 1. But 5!=120. So you move on to the numbers starting with 2. There are, again, 5! such words.. (already 240 numbers formed) Can you continue?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i think so, thank you

OpenStudy (reemii):

The answer is 516234.
