I am asked to simplify the expression and write in lowest terms. Leave it in factored form. 3y/ =y(5y-1) + 2/5y-1, I did practice problems for class but nothing like this and I am confused as to where to start. Please help.

Their seems to be a posting error. What is under the 3y on the left side of the equal side?

Oops sorry, my kid was climbing on me while typing on my laptop. I did not notice the error. 3y/y(5y-1) + 2/5y-1

OpenStudy (mertsj):

In order to add the two fractions they must have the same denominator. Multiply the second fraction by y over y .

That is what I thought. Its difficult when they give you a study plan but the test doesn't have similar questions. Thank you for your help.
