How do I know if a figure has rigid motion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

strange question, for what class?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Geometry. I think I figured it out though. But I have another question.. two figures can be similar even though they are different sizes right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. two triangles can have the same angles while varying in size, hence similar triangles. and i found the rigid motion thing: described as "any transformation, as a translation or rotation, of a set such that the distance between points is preserved"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright thank you!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob. a medal wold be nice :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
