factor the polynomial using the greatest common binomial factor. 7x^2(5x+4)+5x+4 I am confused with this one, can someone help me please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as you may already know, a binomial is a polynomial with 2 terms like ax + b, where ax^2 + bx + c is a trinomial. The binomial they have in common is 5x+4. This can be factored to (5x + 4)(7x^2 + 1)

can you tell me where did you get the 1?

Try separating it into terms: (7x^2)(5x+4)+1(5x+4) when you factor the (5x+4) out, it becomes (5x+4)[(7x^2)+1]
