how about this one? factor each polynomial. 4x^5(x+1)-6x^3(x+1)-8x^2(x+1)

\[2 x^2 (x+1) \left(2 x^3-3 x-4\right) \]

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

\[\Large 4x^5(x+1)-6x^3(x+1)-8x^2(x+1)\] First take out the common factor (x+1): \[\Large (x+1)(4x^5-6x^3-8x^2)\] Now notice you can take out a 2x^2 from each term: \[\Large 2x^2 (x+1)(2x^3-3x-4)\]

thanks, got it!
