Geometry help please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the volume of the given prism. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you Know the formula ? for Volume Prism ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://www.math.com/tables/geometry/volumes.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok give me five mins to write out everything lol :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to formulas for this problem Pyramid (1/3) * (base area) * height and, Cube side3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of the base which is a triangle so (13 *13)/2 * 24 = 2028 that's what I got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the Pyramid would be for the top part of the picture and the cube would be for the bottom part of the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

times the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she needs the volume not the area !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is the volume which is the area of base times the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or do i have to do 2028 * 13?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, just like a cylinder the base is a circle = pi r^2 times the height same principle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope just 2028
