Check Wheather the given function is onto f(x)= (3x^2+3x-4) / (3 +3x-4x^2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know for a function to be onto the Range should be Equal to Co-Domain,but how do i figure out co-domain is it simply the set of all real numbers ?

OpenStudy (linyu):

I think you should find the inverse of the function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wat is the deal with inverse ?

OpenStudy (linyu):

to find range of the function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok...1st How do u Figure out Co-Domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out the numerator and denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ f(x)=\frac{3x^2+3x-4}{3+3x-4x^2} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Codomain has to be given. If not assume it to be R (all real numbers. ) I suppose you can find the range yourself?
