5/(x^2 - 1) - 2/x = 2/(x+1)

5/(x^2-1) = 2/x + 2/ (x+1)

5/ (x+1)*(x-1) = (2*(x+1) + 2*x )/ x* (x+1)

5 / (x-1) = (2x + 2x + 2) / x

5/ (x-1) = 4x+2 / x

5x = (x-1) * (4x+2)

5x = 4x^2 + 2x - 4x - 2

4x^2 -7x -2 = 0

4x^2 - 8x +x -2 = 0

4x * (x-2) + (x-2) = 0

(x-2) * (4x+1) = 0

x-2 = 0 or 4x+1=0

x=2 or x= -1/4
