if you have a M 2x2 and multiply by M 2x3 you get a 2x3 M 3x3 by M 3x2 you get a M 3x2 M 3x4 by M 4x2 you get a M 3x2 always remember that the inside numbers are the same if not its not possible to do matrix multiplication, 3x(3) by (3)x2, same number 3 in the inside so compatible and the matrix will be a M 3x2 the other two numbers in this case you are multiplying a M 2x3 by a M 3x3 so you get a M 2x3 so choice A and C are out of the question multiply 1st row of Matrix 1 times 1st column of Matrix 2 (-2)*(-1) + (1)*(6) + (0)*(0) = 8 which is your first number and thus D is the answer
