Plants use ATP as energy. It is an important part of the metabolism process, and is basically used as an energy source for the plant. Does that make sense, @kat991?

So basically anything that the plant cells need to do -- controlling chemical reactions, sending messages, growing, etc. -- it uses ATP to fuel it.
