What exactly do you want to do with that expression? Just simplify it? In that case, just combine like terms.

There are two sets of terms here:
x
xy

Add or subtract only within like terms (unlike terms do not mix well).

3x+8x-x and 9xy-2xy are the two sets of terms you have here.
So you get:
10x+7xy
Not too terribly difficult, but we all forget some simple things here and there ^^
