Help !! The tent shown below is on display at a toy store. A tent frame composed of a rectangular prism with a triangular prism on top. The width of the rectangular prism is 6 feet, its length is 7 feet and its height is 3 feet. The height of the triangular prism is 4 feet, its inclined edge is 5 feet and and the base edges aligned with edges of the top surface of the rectangular prism. What is the total surface area of the tent in square feet? Assume no material is used on the bottom of the tent. 214 172 207 187
one way to do it is to find the area of each rectangular face and each triangular face and add them up
ok isee buh how do u do tht ?
well look at the front face that's 6 ft by 3 ft so that area is 6*3 = 18 square feet
the back face is the same, so that's also 18 square feet
do the same for each face, then add them all up
so u add 18 + 18 ?
that's part of it, but you add on more of course since there are more faces
and 5*4 wich is 20 ?
so add 20 +20 ?
idk how you're finding a face that's 5 by 4
I don't see any face like that
its on the top of the house
yeah but that slanted face isn't 5 x 4
4*4 then ?
no
because they have it in both sides ?
