A line has a slope of 2 and a y-intercept of(0, -4). What is the value of y when x = 6?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the slope intercept form of a line is y = mx + b m = slope and b = y-intercept so in your line you have m = 2 and b = -4 so the line is y = 2x - 4 now just substitute x = 6 to find y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! y=8?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

yes
