How are Rational Equations used in Real Life Applications? <--- Answer the question, but answer theses little questions afterwards. What I mean is how would this be used in real life? What jobs use this? School, Algebra II, and a Teacher aren't what I am looking for. I want it in your own words from knowledge, not from a website.

i believe that rational equations would be helpful in applying a survey and then applying that to a larger scale

Really, it gives you the basic for higher math like Calculus, which is used in the real world everyday by people like engineers.
