please help!! will reward medal! only needs to be a paragraph long:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have seen the benefits and ethical issues that arise regarding genetic engineering demonstrated in these lessons. In this discussion, you will need to choose a stance on one of these issues. Do you think it is ethical to intentionally modify or insert mutations into the DNA of an organism? Do you think it is okay for human beings to pick and choose their offspring’s DNA if they have the means to do so? You will need to state, defend, and support your opinion. This will require you to do some research supporting your beliefs.

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

I am absolutely against this. I believe that God has a gender picked for our future children. I think that science is becoming to advanced in many ways and is doing things to the human race that won't affect our population in a positive way. I believe that they are not making the right choices in their decisions and I am fully against this.

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

I think that if you are going to have a child then have one, but don't ruin the child's life by doing a risky procedure that can cost a innocent child their life.

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Here are some questions that can help you write your paragraph if your against this: Are we blurring the lines between species by creating transgenic combinations? What are the known health risks associated with transgenics? What ethical, social, and legal controls or reviews should be placed on such research? ETC.

OpenStudy (abb0t):

WOW. I cannot believe you are asking for paragraph answers now!! LOL. Do you even try at all??

OpenStudy (aaronq):

Do you think it is ethical to intentionally modify or insert mutations into the DNA of an organism? -Yes Do you think it is okay for human beings to pick and choose their offspring’s DNA if they have the means to do so? -Yes, when we have the technology available for genes that code for specific types organs, why not give your child the best possible heart, lungs, etc.? I'm not talking about eye/hair colour, that stuff is trivial, it could really make a difference in the life span of your offspring.
