OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

how do u know when a graph has two irrational solutions ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well uh, if b^2-4ac of the quadratic equation is not a perfect square.

OpenStudy (gabylovesyou):

is this irrational ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry cannot open it; if u can just roughly draw the graph

Ok as we can see that this graph does not touch x-axis at all. This tells us that the graph does not have any real solution of x.(if y = 0, there is no real solution of x) (Neither integers nor real numbers.) And if x cannot be real, it has to be imaginary. Hence this graph is irrational.
