is it.................. terminating or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is what terminating????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you trying to figure out if a decimal is terminating....I havent done those kind of problems in a while. But if you are doing decimals then first you need to change the fraction to a decimal by dividing 4 by 35 which is 0.114285714

OpenStudy (mertsj):

no

OpenStudy (mertsj):

thirty-five cannot be multiplied by any number that will result in a power of 10 so it cannot be a terminating decimal

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[\frac{4}{35}=.1142857142857142857...\]
