How does a high-mass star differ from a low-mass star as both enter the final stages of their life cycle?

A high-mass star ends in a nova event.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both will die because of lack of fuel and gravity crushes them...higher mass will give a massive burst that is know as a hyper nova and smaller mass will die in super nova.
