Non metals have high electronegativity but are poor conductors of electricity. why?

@chmvijay

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

bcoz of their high electronegativity their electrons are not free to move as aresult they wont show high conductivity mean poor conductor where as metals are having low electronegativity and electrons are available freely for conduction they are good conductors :)

truee.. thanks

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

high electrongeativity atom mean it cant give its electrons soo easily where as low electronegativity means it gives electrons very easily :)

thankx
