You're right. 12 is wrong. :-) Pythagoras sez that the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of its sides. Since we know that 6 and 7 are it's sides, then we just square each side and add them to find the square of the hypotenuse.

ok theres this other one that seems so easy but im having a little trouble its asking what the length of MO is when sides MN=2 and NO=1 [right triangle] the answer choices are 3 which is wrong cause i got that. 3squared, 1, & 2.
