you have to look at each f(x) individually, now 9-x^2 is continues in all the reals 9 is always continuous -4x + 9 is continuous in all the reals so we know that it exists so as x aproaches from the right it goes to 9 as x aproaches from the left it goes to 9 so the limit is 9
