7. Imagine you have two balls—a baseball and a basketball. You roll the basketball into the baseball. As they collide, the baseball moves forward quickly, and the basketball moves backward a little. How does Newton’s third law explain the difference in the movement? Use the words force, mass and acceleration in your answer. (2 points)

The mass and acceleration of the basketball gives it greater force. This causes the baseball to move quickly. Since every action garners an equal and opposite reaction, the basketball moves back a little. The force on the basketball causes a minor movement since the basketball has mass and acceleration negating it.
