The value of a dirt bike decreases by 20% each year. If you purchased this dirt bike today for $500, to the nearest dollar how much would the bike be worth 5 years later? $84 $119 $164 $222

Thats not one of the answers... @devinthedev

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you would do is multiply .20(500) which equals $100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you subtract it from $500 and you get $400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you find 20 percent of $400 which is $80. So now the value is $320

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.20 (320) = 64. 320-64= 256. Then the 20% of 256 = 51.2. 256-51.2. 204.8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then finally you find 20 percent of 204.8. 40.96 then you subtract it from 204.8 and you get 163.84.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

163.84 would round to $164
