What you would do is multiply .20(500) which equals $100
Then you subtract it from $500 and you get $400
Then you find 20 percent of $400 which is $80. So now the value is $320
.20 (320) = 64. 320-64= 256. Then the 20% of 256 = 51.2. 256-51.2. 204.8

Then finally you find 20 percent of 204.8. 40.96 then you subtract it from 204.8 and you get 163.84.
163.84 would round to $164
