The circle has an area of 25 in2. What is the area of the green sector? (Use 3.14 for .) I'll draw the circle and show what work I've done. Please tell me where I'm going wrong.

What I've done is take the equation measure of arc/360 * the area of the circle. (90/360) * 78.5. .25 * 78.5 19.625
1. Those numbers are the measures of central angles? 2. Which section is green?
Yes those are the central angles. The green one is 90 degrees.
Why are you using 78.5 for the area when the problem states the area is 25?
Oh sorry it's 25 with the pie symbol. I took 25*3.14 and got 78.5.
Ok, I got it. I don't see anything wrong in what you're doing. area of sector = (angle measure of sector/360) * area of circle
Hmm. Okay thanks. My answer choices don't provide that answer but I thought that was right, too. I'll talk to my teacher in the morning. Thanks!
What are the choices? Maybe we can figure this out together.
