You are going to create a circle graph to represent some data. How many degrees should a section representing 65 out of a hundred be?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

65 out of 100 is 65% or 0.65. Since a circle is 360 degrees, you need 65% of 360 or 0.65 * 360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

65 out of a hundred means you have that portion of the graph occupying 65% of the total portion. Since a circle has 360 degrees, you would need 65% of the circle to represent that. .65 * 360 to get your answer.

The above two answers have done everything for you except for pressing the buttons on your calculator. @xo_kansasprincess_xo
