So everyone knows what a nook or kindle is. What was the first one of those types of things? No, I do not mean: which was first? Kindle or nook? I want to know what was the very first type of those screened book-reader-thingy-mabobbers called?

Probably the Sony Data Discman in 1991. It was big, chunky, and weighed 2 lbs.
