Question

I need to do this two ways. One by Shells and one by Disk Method. My only problem is I am getting different answers. Here is the problem: Given the curve y=0, x=y^2, and x= (3y^2)-2 rotated around the x axis.

For Rings I get pi/3 and for shells I get pi/2
